In the Community

At Blair Street Veterinary Hospital, we strongly believe in giving back to the community.

Wildlife

Since our inception in 1981 as McGregor Veterinary Clinic, we have always offered our services in treating injured or ill wildlife free of charge. We work closely with a dedicated group of wildlife carers within and around Bunbury to ensure these creatures can be rehabilitated back into the wild.

Creatures treated by us include various birds, kangaroos, echidnas, and possums and even such diverse patients as dolphins, sharks, sea lions, seahorses, turtles, penguins and emus.

Animal Rescue

We are proud to have been chosen to treat and offer discounted routine veterinary care to the many animals who are successfully rehomed through SAFE Bunbury and South West Animal Rescue (SWAR). These animals are all vaccinated, sterilised and microchipped prior to rehoming. Please consider a SAFE or SWAR pet when looking for your new best friend.

Talk Like a Pirate Day

We love to have a laugh here at Blair Street Vets and if we can do this while helping a charity, all the better! Hence, we have chosen to support Childhood Cancer Support by donating money on Talk Like a Pirate Day each year. Don't be alarmed if you walk in on September 19 and are greeted by a swashbuckled Nurse, Vet or Practice Manager and a resounding, "Arrr!"
